Course curriculum
VASER® Training Course Overview
Our three-part course, offered in both Newport Beach and Ontario, provides an in-depth exploration of VASER® Liposuction techniques.
The course includes:
Observation day: Engage in educational discussions and receive information on patient care before, during, and after the procedure.
Practicum day: Gain hands-on experience with VASER® Liposuction techniques.*
Follow-up: Receive feedback from Dr. Nykiel.
What you will learn:
Basic science/technology behind VASER® liposuction.
How to mark liposuction patients.
Step-by-step how to perform VASER® liposuction, from access incision placement to surgical technique.
Pearls on post-operative care.
Pre and Post-operative patient management.
Hands-on experience
You will practice VASER® Liposuction techniques on consenting patients. The areas of liposuction can be tailored to the trainee, and fat transfer with VASER® is also an available option.*

Prerequisites:
Surgical Residency Trained*
California Medical License**
*Observation can be performed by any specialty; however, hands-on surgical training is exclusively offered to physicians with surgical residency training.
**You must have a valid California Medical License to perform surgery.
We offer assistance for physicians out of state to obtain a California Medical License. Please note that the granting of medical licenses, whether temporary or permanent, is determined solely by the state.

Bring the whole team
We recommend bringing your whole team so everyone is comfortable using VASER® technology. Our scrub tech will walk your scrub tech through setup, best practices, and troubleshooting tips. Meanwhile, our nurses will train your nurses on machine care, cleaning, and proper set up to ensure a completely smooth operation for your practice.
