Vaser Liposuction Before and After

VASER liposuction is a body contouring procedure that utilizes ultrasound technology to gently remove fat and provide definition in targeted areas that are resistant to diet and exercise. Common problem areas include the abdomen, hips, upper arms, and under the chin. With VASER technology, we can slim specific areas with greater precision while achieving smooth, natural-looking contours. Vaser Liposuction FAQ

You may be a good candidate for VASER liposuction if you're near your ideal weight but struggling with stubborn fat in specific areas that don't respond to diet and exercise. Ideal candidates are in good overall health, have good skin elasticity, and have realistic expectations about the results that liposuction can provide.

Due to its minimally invasive nature, most patients report mild pain or discomfort for the first week following VASER liposuction. In studies, VASER liposuction resulted in less pain than traditional liposuction.  Your doctor may prescribe painkillers to help with any soreness or discomfort.

The results from VASER liposuction are considered permanent if patients maintain their weight. Significant weight gain can impact the results.

VASER liposuction offers superior fat removal results and a smoother recovery process compared to traditional liposuction. By using ultrasound technology to break up the fat, VASER liposuction allows for more precise extraction and minimizes damage to surrounding tissues, leading to less pain and a quicker recovery. However, traditional liposuction might still be better for removing larger volumes of fat.

In general, most patients lose about two to five pounds in total when full body liposuction or Lipo360 is performed. The amount of fat removed will depend on your body weight and body fat percentage. However, patients should remember VASER liposuction focuses on body contouring and should not be considered a weight loss solution.

The average recovery time following VASER liposuction is about one week. Most patients are able to return to work in a few days after the procedure.

Hi Def lipo refers to the meticulous and artistic nature of sculpting the body along the natural muscular anatomy.  Hi definition liposuction utilizes VASER to create shadowing and contrast - thus highlighting and “defining” body shape.  The degree of definition depends on the muscle tone and the patient’s goals.   A great example is highlighting the abdomen, where we can sculpt a soft pilates abdomen to a “hard” “6-pack” abs.

As with any surgical procedure, liposuction leaves scarring. The incisions used for VASER liposuction are typically very small and placed in discrete areas. With proper care, scars will fade significantly over time and are typically inconspicuous after a year.
