Fat Transfer Before and After

Fat transfer is a surgical procedure that involves harvesting fat from one area of the body and injecting it into another for improved volume and contour. This technique is often used for facial rejuvenation, breast augmentation, or buttock enhancement. By using the body's own fat, patients achieve a natural look and feel. Fat Transfer FAQ

The best candidate for fat transfer is typically someone in good overall health with sufficient fat in areas like the abdomen, thighs, or flanks, who is looking to improve volume and contour in areas such as the face, breasts, or buttocks.

Your body will not reject fat that is correctly isolated, cleaned, and purified. Since we use your body’s own tissue, there is no risk of allergic reaction or rejection.

In general, approximately 50-80% of the fat survives after fat transfer, although this can vary by patient.

Fat transfer results are permanent. While some fat is naturally reabsorbed by the body within the first six weeks, the fat cells that remain will integrate and last indefinitely.

Fat transfer procedures are limited by the amount of volume that can be added compared to implants, potential unevenness, and not all transferred fat survives, meaning some reabsorption occurs. Patients may need multiple procedures to achieve desired results.

Fat transfers are done under anesthesia, so you won’t feel pain during the procedure. After surgery, you can expect some soreness and discomfort. Most patients find that the pain is manageable with prescribed medication.
