About brow lift
What is a brow lift?
A brow lift, is a surgical procedure designed to elevate and reposition the eyebrows, creating a more refreshed, youthful appearance. This procedure addresses sagging brows, reduces forehead wrinkles, and softens frown lines between the eyebrows.
By lifting the eyebrows, the entire upper face gains a rejuvenated look, helping to open up the eyes and restore balance to your facial features.

Brow lift candidacy
Am I a good candidate for a brow lift?
During your initial consultation, we will assess whether a brow lift is the best approach for you. You may be a good candidate for a brow lift if you are in good health, do not smoke, and have realistic expectations about the outcome.
As we age, the skin on the forehead may relax, causing eyebrows to droop and create a tired, heavy appearance. Frown lines between the brows and forehead wrinkles can also contribute to a more serious or angry expression. If you’re unhappy with these signs of aging and want to restore brows to a more alert, youthful position, a brow lift may be a good fit.
Brow lifts are typically performed on people that are between the ages of 40 to 60, although some younger patients are genetically inclined to have low or heavy brows and may opt for a brow lift.

WITH A BROW LIFT, WE CAN FIX:
Sagging eyebrows
Asymmetrical brow line
Deep forehead lines and wrinkles
Frown lines or "11" lines between the eyebrows
Hooded or heavy eyelids caused by a low brow position
Overly serious or angry expression
About brow lift
Types of brow lift procedures
Brow lifts can be performed in different ways, each tailored to patient goals and anatomy. Common techniques include the endoscopic brow lift, the temporal brow lift, and the classic brow lift. During your consultation, we will carefully determine which technique is best for you, given your facial structure and the changes you wish to make.
The endoscopic brow lift is a minimally invasive option that uses an endoscope, a thin tube with a tiny camera, along with specialized instruments. Small incisions are made just behind the hairline, allowing the surgeon to insert the endoscope and adjust the underlying muscles and tissues.
Often combined with eyelid surgery, the temporal or limited incision brow lift uses slightly longer incisions just above the temples to lift the outer part of the brow. This technique is ideal for patients seeking to subtly lift the outer brow while simultaneously smoothing wrinkles in the temple area.
Some patients may require significant lifting, which involves a larger coronal incision made across the hairline to remove excess skin and tissue. While less commonly performed today due to less invasive, equally effective methods, a coronal or classic brow lift may be necessary in certain cases to achieve a patient’s desired results.

Expectations
What to expect throughout your brow lift procedure
This surgery is performed under general or local anesthesia to ensure you remain as comfortable as possible. We will discuss which option is best for you during your consultation.
During the procedure, incisions are carefully placed either within or just behind the hairline to minimize visible scarring. This allows your surgeon to lift and reposition the muscles and tissues underneath the skin, smoothing the forehead and lifting the brow. The incisions are closed using removable or absorbable sutures, skin adhesives, or clips.
The duration of the surgery depends on the type of brow lift, but typically takes around one to two hours in total. Your surgeon and team will discuss every step in detail with you during your pre-operative appointments.

Brow lift recovery
Results and recovery process
While the results of a brow lift are immediately visible, it may take a few months to see final results as you make your complete recovery.
After surgery, your forehead may be taped, and your head loosey wrapped to minimize swelling. In some cases, a small tube may be placed under the skin to drain excess fluid.
The initial wound healing typically takes 10 to 14 days. You can expect some swelling and bruising, which will gradually subside after about two weeks. Sutures are typically removed one week after surgery.
Most patients are able to return to work within one week. You’ll be able to start exercising in two to four weeks after surgery. During a follow-up appointment, your surgeon will provide guidance on which activities are allowed during the healing process.

Frequently Asked Questions
Good candidates for a brow lift are typically healthy adults who have visible signs of aging in the brow area, such as drooping brows, deep forehead lines, or sagging skin. Patients who smoke are unlikely to be good candidates.
Most patients are able to return to work about one week after surgery. However, if your work is more physically demanding, you may need to take more time off.
Since incisions are hidden behind the hairline, scarring is usually undetectable. Less invasive techniques such as an endoscopic brow lift leave minimal scarring due to the smaller incisions that are made.
You can typically see results within a few weeks, as swelling and bruising subside.
The results of a brow lift can last for many years. Over time, the natural aging process will continue, so while the initial results may be long-lasting, some changes may occur as you age. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and sun protection can help prolong the results.
