About butt implants
What are butt implants?
Butt implants are solid silicone devices surgically placed to enhance the size, shape, and contour of the buttocks. Known as buttock augmentation or buttock enhancement, this procedure inserts the implants either within or above the gluteal muscles to add significant volume and projection.
Butt implants are often used to address concerns such as a flat buttock profile, lack of volume, and an undesired shape. Designed to mimic the quality of gluteal muscles, implants provide a fuller, firmer, more contoured appearance that complements your natural body shape.

While our name has evolved, our dedication to empowering individual expression and creating positive, transformative experiences remains unchanged.

Butt implant candidacy
Am I a good candidate for butt implants?
Butt implants are typically a good option for those who don’t have enough body fat for a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) or who want a larger profile. Good candidates are in good overall health and have realistic expectations for the outcome.
Patients often pursue butt implant surgery to improve body proportions, enhance curves, or address flatness in the buttock area.
During your consultation, we will help you decide whether butt implants, a Brazilian butt lift, or a combination of both is the best option for achieving your desired look.

WITH BUTT IMPLANTS, WE CAN FIX:
Flat or small buttocks
Square-shaped buttocks
Lack of projection
Very tight skin and tissue
Overall body harmony
About butt implants
Types of butt implants
We will help you choose the right butt implant shape, size, and projection based on your specific goals and body proportions, while prioritizing your safety.
Butt implant sizes
Butt implants typically range between 275cc to 540cc, with a 300cc implant being the most common - adding noticeable volume and projection without being overly prominent and still adding significant projection and shape..
During your consultation, your surgeon will take accurate measurements of your buttocks to determine what size best fits you. Choosing an implant that is too narrow may result in a “boxy” or “square” appearance, while implants that are too large can risk implant displacement. You will be able to try on different sizes during your pre-operative appointment.
Butt implant shapes
Butt implants are available in two main shapes: round and anatomic (oval).
We recommend round implants most often to patients. These create a fuller, rounder buttock contour, forming the base of an ideal hourglass figure.
Anatomical implants, also known as oval-shaped or butt-shaped implants, are designed to mimic the natural contour of the buttocks. They are fuller at the bottom, offering a more subtle, natural enhancement. However, there is a higher risk of rotation with anatomical implants than round implants. In general, most patients seek a firmer, rounder buttocks and therefore, we rarely utilize the anatomical (oval) shaped buttock implant.

Expectations
What to expect throughout your butt implant procedure
Buttock implant augmentation is typically performed under general anesthesia to keep patients as comfortable as possible. The buttock implants are placed via incisions that are hidden on each side of the gluteal cleft. Your surgeon will insert the implants either within the gluteal muscle or above it on each side. Layered sutures are secured in the buttocks tissue and incisions are closed with sutures, skin adhesives, or surgical tape. The surgery usually lasts between one to two hours.
For some patients, we may perform liposuction and fat transfer to soften the implant. This will be approved by you beforehand and we will give you a complete procedure protocol before having surgery.

Butt implants recovery
Results and recovery process
You will be able to see your results–a rounder and fuller butt—immediately after surgery, although it will take around six weeks for the buttock implants to settle into place, and up to 12 weeks for the swelling to go down completely.
During the initial recovery period, you’ll likely experience mild to minimal pain. For the first two weeks, you must avoid sitting or lying on your buttocks and sides entirely.
After two weeks, you’ll be able to transition to using a sitting pillow and return to work. You are able to walk immediately after surgery and go back to the gym in six weeks, waiting to implement glute exercises and weights until after eight weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions
Buttock implants are considered “semi-permanent” devices and are not designed to be replaced like breast implants. The results of your buttock augmentation can be long-lasting; however, factors such as aging, gravity, and weight fluctuations can affect the size and shape of your butt over time.
Skillfully placed buttock implants can feel natural, as silicone implants are made to mimic the buttock’s tissue closely.
After the initial six-week healing period, patients typically describe the feeling of sitting on their buttock implants as “awkward” but not painful. By three months, most patients adjust to sitting normally and often forget that the implants are even there.
If your job requires sitting, you should plan to be off for at least two weeks, as this is when you typically transition to sitting with a pillow.
We encourage you to walk immediately after surgery to help promote recovery and reduce the risk of complications. You can go back to the gym at six weeks post-surgery, and you can resume gluteal and lower body exercises and weights at eight weeks and following approval from your doctor.
